    About Us

    Meet the Founder

Our company was founded by Joshua Weinstein, a lover of local history and lifelong resident of Hampton Roads. Joshua loved playing tour guide so much that he decided to start his own business. He received his undergraduate degree in history from Old Dominion University in Norfolk and has been researching and conducting professional tours for the Chrysler Museum of Art, Norfolk’s historic cemeteries, and the NEON District since 2013. He has lectured on local history at the Norfolk Historical Society, the Hunter House Victorian Museum, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Joshua has also created art education programming for the Governor’s School for the Arts, presented historical research at the Virginia Forum, and served on the board of directors for historical preservation and human rights nonprofit groups. He founded Norfolk Tour Company to provide engaging, entertaining, and educational experiences to travelers and locals alike.

    Check Out Our Reviews

Our guides have years of experience providing well received and interesting tours throughout Hampton Roads, but don’t take our word for it…

“We’ve taken educational tours of the historic Elmwood Cemetery, exhibits at the Chrysler Museum, fun tours of the new NEON District, and we always have a great time. If you’re looking for a good time with your friends, or if you’re a teacher and would like your class to learn more about local history or the arts, then check out these tours. As a parent, I can attest that my kids love the tours as well.”

“Josh gives the best and most comprehensive tours. He knows the ins and outs of local happenings and history.”
